Session
Description: Models of care for children with medical complexity (CMC) often cite shared decision-making, partnership or engagement with family caregivers and patients, and adopting a family-centred approach to care. The current literature will be critically examined in the context of clinical practice. Clinicians and family leaders will consider the barriers and facilitators to engagement, including reflecting on partnership versus engagement, before the group considers opportunities for effective engagement in clinical practice.
