Description: This symposium session will discuss unique challenges in pediatric kidney transplantation for patients in special populations that may not be commonly encountered by many nephrologists. The session will provide an overview of the main challenges to transplant in each special population, as well as considerations when working the patient up and preparing them for transplant. Additionally, the session will review the current evidence for available and emerging therapeutics for these patient populations.
