Description: The course will cover basic, translational, and clinical science as it relates to pediatric critical care nephrology. The course is designed to deliver an overview of current research advances and clinical practice strategies in pediatric critical care nephrology, including AKI pathophysiology, fluid balance, utilization of biomarkers, and future therapeutic targets. The second half of the course will focus on pediatric continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) basics followed by in deep dives into complex case based CRRT management scenarios. The speakers will aim to help foster ideas for future research, quality improvement projects, and improved care.
