Session
Description: The Faculty Development and Well-Being and Vitality SIG would like to invite you to join us in two-part workshop "Career Fit: what to do when your vision of your career does not align with that of your chair." There exists substantial evidence suggesting that the extent to which academic physicians can focus on their work that is most meaningful to them decreases their risk of burnout. The faculty Development and Well-being and Vitality SIGs have combined to examine this issue through both a well-being lens and how to cultivate 'career fit' skills through faculty development. This workshop will consist of two 90-minute workshops. During the first session, we will have a speaker share their career journey and provide concrete advice on how to make your career the one you envisioned without having to leave your institution. In the second session, we will have panel presenters who can discuss how they were successful in achieving their career goals.
