Workshop
Description: Point of care ultrasound is being increasingly utilized to enhance patient care in the pediatric population, with new applications emerging in neonatal care. Developing an infrastructure for a POCUS program will ensure sustainability and a pathway for quality assurance. This session will discuss the basic infrastructure needs to develop a POCUS program in your NICU, including assessing needs and scope of practice, identifying stakeholders, and considering barriers to implementation. By the end of this session, participants will have a basic understanding of programmatic needs for developing a POCUS program in their unit and tools to take home to their institution.
