Workshop
Description: With increasing recognition of the widespread inability and/or delay of medical systems to adopt evidenced-based interventions, the field of Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) Science has rapidly emerged as a research priority. This workshop will provide attendees with a primer on D&I science terminology, models, methods, measures and strategies. We will also provide training resources to facilitate grant proposals and research conduct using cutting-edge D&I science methodology.
This workshop is appropriate for seasoned health services researchers or quality improvement experts looking to pivot into this field as well as learners with emerging experience in clinical or translational research. Our teaching team is comprised of directors of implementation science research programs, R-level and K-level funded implementation scientists, and general pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists.
This workshop was held in 2022 and 2023 with great interest. We have improved the agenda to account for more small groups and time to work directly with participants to lead them through a particular research question case and how they may address it using a D&I science lens which was well-received.
