Session
Description: Cases of congenital syphilis have increased almost 700% over the last decade in the United States. Newborn providers must be knowledgeable and prepared to evaluate and manage these infants. Experts in the field will provide an educational session to address updates on the rising rate of syphilis in the age of diminishing antibiotic availability with consideration for the role of health equity, advocacy, and justice in the detection and intervention of individuals with syphilis.
