Session
Description: As Americans prepare to head to the polls to vote for elected officials up and down the ballot, child health issues have taken on increased salience in political and public policy debates, and the decisions of policymakers will impact the health of children and adolescents for years to come. Join the Pediatric Policy Council to learn more about the child health issues animating political debates at the state and federal level. This session will examine key public policies that impact the well-being of young people with a focus on access to comprehensive, evidence-based health care, social supports crucial to helping children thrive, and policies that ensure the health and safety of the world around them. Speakers will provide updates on public policies and explain how these issues are influencing the US elections.
